Assessment Delegation feature of IT Profiler allows you to delegate Health Profiles to multiple IT Teams within an organisation and send assessment reports to senior engineer for review. For example, you can create two health profiles; AD Profile and Office Profile. Delegate AD Profile to AD IT Teams and Office Profile to Office 365 IT Teams. When AD IT Teams log on to IT Profiler they will only see AD Profile. You can also create two AD Profiles and delegate to multiple AD Engineers.

IT Health Profiler does not ship with a client version. Instead, we use the same MSI which is deployed on the delegated Admin computers. The process for enabling Assessment Delegation feature is outlined in below steps:

  1. Create a security group called DPprofiler_Admins.
  2. Create another security group called DPProfiler_Delegated.
  3. The member of DPProfiler_Admin group can create profiles and have full control over IT Profiler.
  4. The member of DPProfiler_Delegated have limited control over IT Profiler and can only see the profiles they have been delegated to.

IT Profiler is dynamic in nature. You can add more health checks on the fly using Packs Manager. The Packs Manager ships with Enterprise Edition of IT Profiler.

Certainly! IT Profiler supports Export/Import Profile feature. You can export the profile along with the data and import health profile on IT Profiler running on your laptop/desktop.

A health profile managed under IT Health Profiler contains Assessment Packs and assessment instances such as Active Directory Forest, Microsoft Office 365 and so on. IT Profiler requires creation of Health Profile before the assessment can be executed. In IT Profiler terminology, a Health Profile can also be called as Assessment Profile.

There is no limit as such. You can add as many as Dynamic Packs you want in a Health Profile.

Health Profile can contain mix of packs such as packs for Active Directory as well as packs for Microsoft Office 365. However, a Health Profile that contains mix packs cannot be used for reporting.

In a scenario where multiple IT Teams are working in an organization. Each IT Team is responsible for doing assessment of their technology components. The DynamicPacks IT Profiler ENTERPRISE Edition supports assessment delegation feature which supports delegating assessment profiles to multiple IT Teams. For example, create a SQL Assessment Profile and delegate to SQL Team. Similarly, create an AD Profile and delegate to AD Team.

DynamicPacks IT Health Profiler has been designed by keeping MSP approach in mind. For example, you can use IT Health Profiler for Service Improvement Plans and also perform health and risk assessment of multiple technologies from a single computer.

Certainly! IT Profiler can identify the issues in Active Directory forest and help you produce with a nice report that could be used to identify the items that require urgent attentions.

IT Profiler PRO Edition does not support multiple Office 365 Subscription. However, you can buy IT Profiler Enterprise Edition which can be used to do assessment of multiple Office 365 subscriptions.

IT Profiler ships with two components; Software Execution SubSystem and Dynamic Packs. The Execution SubSystem is responsible for executing Dynamic Packs. The Dynamic Packs are designed using PowerShell scripts.
Certainly! If you have PowerShell scripting knowledge you can add more Dynamic Packs using Packs Manager which ships with Enterprise Edition.
It takes about 3-4 hours to execute all Dynamic Packs of a technology, but the execution time depends on the size of the infrastructure.

If you have decided to purchase DynamicPacks IT Health Profiler, you are required to buy IT Profiler software license and Technology Packs license. The Software License is the execution subsystem which is required in order to execute technology Dynamic Packs.

Lets assume you would like to do an assessment of Microsoft Active Directory Forest. You are required to buy two licenses:

  1. Software License (PRO/Enterprise)
  2. Active Directory Dynamic Packs License

The Active Directory Dynamic Packs license is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

IT Profiler licenses are distributed when you purchase licenses. The licenses are delivered to your registered email address. You need to import licenses into IT Profiler and there is no need to have Internet connectivity.

No. We need you to purchase licenses associated with DynamicPacks IT Health Profiler. There are no requirements other than requirements mentioned in the Requirements FAQ section.

At a minimum, you are required to install PowerShell modules for technology and .NET 3.5 on a Windows Operating System running Windows Server 2012 or on a client running Windows 8 or later.

No. DynamicPacks IT Health Profiler does not require SQL database. It gathers information from assessment targets in CSV format and then present to IT Profiler console for reporting purposes.
